This is a commemorative piece, done after a friend's beloved dachshund had passed away. Hence, the title: "Cherish the Little Things". This is Jack, snuggled under a blanket. He's done in patterns which create his form and shading. I love to work in patterns. I grew up doodling patterns in the margins of notebooks and napkins and it never occurred to me to turn them into drawings until 2015.
