Kino
This piece is of mine and my fiance's dog, Kino. This was my very first drypoint I did of an animal, and it also made me fall in love with drypoints. This piece was challenging but helped me learn along the way, especially because of how dark our dog is, for example how hard I needed to etch into the plexiglass to make some areas darker than others. All of the drypoint prints I do, are of animals, because I am able to achieve drawing-like strokes like you see on regular paper.
